N3 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 I have tried Firefox & Cyberfox & have decided to go to Internet Explorer. How do I transfer my information from one browser to another? The majority of my desktop icons are from firefox. Can I leave them as is? Is there a procedure one has to follow to accomplish the above? I read that there is a program called "Buddy Profile" that allows one to change from one browser to another. Unfortunately I am unfamiliar with that program. Any assistance would be appreciated. FPCH Admin AWS Posted March 6, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted March 6, 2015 That's a very good question. Bookmarks are easy. Export them in Firefox and import then into IE. I am not so sure any of the settings, saved passwords or anything else can be imported. If you use a password manager then that problem is solved. For settings I don't know of any way to do it. Firefox doesn't have any way to export settings. The procedure to move setting in Firefox is to copy the data folder to the new install. I have never heard of anything called Buddy Profile. I did do a search at Google and from the looks of things other than bookmarks nothing else can be imported. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
