donetao Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Hi I like having a little fun Also. I did not not take the other test. Well I really did and I only got 88%. See if you can pass donetao's test. I ran Malwarebytes Anti Root Kit, Adwcleaner, and Malwarebytes I 'm going to run ESET on Line Scanner and JRT later and add the results to this thread. This is probably why I don't do well on help forums. I'm just a old country boy that hasn't been to any fancy schools except the School of Hard Knocks and I'm some times a smart arse! Here are my results Pete @starbuck . Is it a good time to create a back up image of my OS Pete. Adwcleanner found 0 malware as did the others scanners. Quote Some times you're the wind shield. Some times you're the bug!!:(
donetao Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 Hi As promised! Here is the ESET scan. It took a long time. What do you think @DSTM , Do I know any thing about malware! Is ESET not your favorite Anti-Virus program Dougie?? Hey @AWS You said to have fun and enjoy myself. I'm having a ball on your forum Boss. Hey @allheart55 (Cindy E) special friend, thanks for caring about this old country boy. Hey @shortordercook Thanks for making my day. Hey all you members from MT, thanks for joining Free PC Help Forum. Invite all our friends to join us here on ExTs. Hey @starbuck(Pete) check me out friend. Do you think I'm clear of malware. Should be a good time to create a back up image of my OS with Macrium Reflect; don't you think. Hey @donetao quit being a smart arse, your skating on thin ice again!! Do I need to do any more scans Pete?? PS I'm not pouting any longer Cindy! Will scan with JRT tomorrow and add it to this thread. Thanks @AWS for letting me be who I really am! . Good night friends. Okie from Muskogee is going to bed! 2 Quote Some times you're the wind shield. Some times you're the bug!!:(
DSTM Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 (edited) Yes Gary. ESET Nod 32 is doing a good job protecting my computers, along with MBAM free and any other fav scanners I use if the need arises. Your Computer looks free of infections from the posted images.Well Done. 4am Your time. donetao Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 Junkware Removal Tool (JRT) by Thisisu Version: 6.4.3 (03.01.2015:1) OS: Windows 7 Home Premium x64 Ran by Gary on Wed 03/04/2015 at 10:16:39.12 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~ Services ~~~ Registry Values ~~~ Registry Keys ~~~ Files ~~~ Folders ~~~ Event Viewer Logs were cleared ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Scan was completed on Wed 03/04/2015 at 10:23:36.19 End of JRT log ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Here's a scan from JRT! It finds and removes a lot of baddies. The one baddie I really hate is Ask tool bar. As you can see, I have no baddies to remove. That's a good thing!! Here's link and what all it removes. It is really fast!! http://thisisudax.org/ PS It will clear all your Event Logs. Don't know why it does that, but to me that's a good thing. I'm still having fun @AWS Add your favorite on line scanner to this thread!! I'm sure everyone has their favorite. I have more, but will let this rest awhile! Seniors get the Ask tool bar a lot. Someone should stop that PUP company from existing. It's a real pain in the butt. Kind a like donetao! There will always be scum bags out there thinking of new ways to cause you grief, so surf safe and be careful what you click. Create regular back up images and you can enjoy your computer without worrying. I hope this helps someone!! Quote Some times you're the wind shield. Some times you're the bug!!:(
donetao Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 Hi! I better add this about using these scanners. Always have your PC backed up before running these scanners. Your computer is called PC(Personal Computer). That means each computer is different and that means these scanners might react differently on your PC than they do on my PC. The best thing; if you don't know what your doing, is post in our malware section and let a trained person clean your infected PC. Most of the programs that are posted in this thread are used by trained malware fighters on all the help forums. If your not having any problems, don't run them. I only ran them to show you that I have a clean computer, which I will now create a back up image of my OS with Macrium Reflect!! Always trying to make a hand here on Free PC Help Forum. Thanks Boss for letting me be who I am! One huge Pest and a pain in the arse:D:eek:  Quote Some times you're the wind shield. Some times you're the bug!!:(

As our membership grows, that will change. I have the utmost respect for our and all the certified malware specialists who go through intensive training. It's not just a year, Gary. They have an ongoing education in order to keep up with all of the new malware. I clean client computers every week but I would never consider myself an expert. I'm just not. Pete and Gene are my go to guys when I have any questions about malware or it's removal. I know that you like doing what you are doing with helping and cleaning senior's computers, Gary. I think that's great. They need someone like you to help them. However, an online cleaning is much different and is subject to many pitfalls which our experts are used to handling. I think, maybe, one of the biggest problems that they have is the members computer experience and the ability to follow sometimes complicated instructions. 2 Quote ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~ ~~Robert McCloskey~~

Hi @allheart55 (Cindy E) I have been on many help forums. PC users are asking for malware help less and less. They can go on the internet with their problems and get help. I'm not putting Pete or Gene down and I wish you would stop referring that I am!! Last time I checked we have 7000+ members and we are growing every day. How many of those are asking for malware help?? PC users are getting smarter and they are learning how to safe surf and use their brain as suggested by @lurkingatu2 They are also younger and smarter. @shortordercook 12 year old grand daughter got a better score on @Rich-M test than I did. My great grandson already knows about computers. He says Papa " Just hit CTRL-ALT-Delete!!:D Quote Some times you're the wind shield. Some times you're the bug!!:(

FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted March 4, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted March 4, 2015 Oh, Gary.... I never said that you meant anything bad about our malware team. I know that you would never do that. Our experts have access to the newest information and the latest tools, something us lay people do not have. 2 Quote ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~ ~~Robert McCloskey~~
donetao Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 Hi @allheart55 (Cindy E) I'm just saying that you will see less and less PC users asking for malware help on help forums like ours in the future. I keep a close watch on this subject. A scan with MBAM free or Adwcleaner will clean 95% of infected computers. I'm familiar with most of the tools used by malware fighters. I do not understand Farbar, nor do I want to take the time to learn. I hope I'm helping our members here not confusing them or leading them down the path to a blown PC!! I'm very interested in malware and how to clean it from computers. There comes a time when you just bite the bullet. You save your data and restore back to factory. I'm just hoping we have more good guys than bad guys out there!! A good back up plan will eliminate these problems. . Quote Some times you're the wind shield. Some times you're the bug!!:(
donetao Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 Read my post carefully again, Gary. It is a scenario.:) Hi Dougie! Any time you try to help people, you're going to get some unexpected things happening. Have you ever read the side effects of your meds. People are just like computers. They are all different. What works for you might not work for me. There are hundreds of blood pressure pills. Different ones for different people. I don't take my wife's meds and she doesn't take mine. I know what you were saying in your reply. I also check our malware section on a daily basis. I don't know why we aren't getting threads about malware??? Quote Some times you're the wind shield. FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted March 4, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted March 4, 2015 (edited) Just because we may be familiar with the tools doesn't make us experts, Gary. Yes, we do want to help members, not confuse them, as you say and that is why no one but our malware experts are permitted to offer malware cleaning. While we may do cleaning of computers that are in our hands, we don't have the expertise to do online cleaning or advice, they do.
