N3 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 I'm trying to download the "SeaMonkey" browser & i'm getting this message.. "This program is blocked by group policy. For more information, contact your system administrator". It appears other internet users are also getting this message when trying to download various software. Quote
donetao Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Do you have administrator privileges??? Quote Some times you're the wind shield. Some times you're the bug!!:(
DSTM Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Hi N3. MY guess you have a software restriction policy enabled. In "Local Security" you can disable the policy. 1 Quote Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm Schizophrenic, and so am I Free Photo Restoration and Repair for all Forum members - CLICK HERE Please pop back and let us know if your Computer problem has been solved.
donetao Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Hi @N3 There is a lot about this on Google. What Anti-Virus are you using?? This is one suggestion, but I'm not recommending going into the registry unless you are very sure you know what your doing there! I would follow Dougie's suggestion!! https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB81841&vse0714 Quote Some times you're the wind shield. Some times you're the bug!!:(
FPCH Admin AWS Posted March 3, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted March 3, 2015 Are you part of a domain? If you are the domain admin has to adjust his software store settings. He probably has it setup to handle all client updates and software installations. It is set so nothing can be downloaded or installed from anywhere except the software store. 1 Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
N3 Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 I downloaded "CyberFox" 36.0 (64 bit) without any messages or problems. How do i transfer (import/export?) my firefox bookmarks & desktop icons onto cyberfox? Quote
FPCH Admin AWS Posted March 3, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted March 3, 2015 Does CyberFox have synch like Forefox does? If it does setup a synch account in Firefox and once the initial synch is done set it up in CyberFox. All bookmarks, add ons and settings should migrate over. For bookmarks if synch doesn't work just use the Firefox export tool and export them to a file. Then import them into Cyberfox. 1 Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
N3 Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 So i am required to use the Firefox synch and the CyberFox synch? Quote
FPCH Admin AWS Posted March 3, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted March 3, 2015 Yes. You need Firefox to synch to store your settings. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
