FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted March 2, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted March 2, 2015 Hi Princess Warrior, Can you go to your Windows Updates and right click on each of the failed updates and give us the error code? Rich-M Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 This handles the first one Warrior: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2894179 Try doing the second one here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40755 Quote
Rich-M Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Try downloading and installing the 3rd one from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42327 and the 4th one here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=44253 These were all performance updates for Windows 8.1 and I think once you get passed them the rest will work fine. Here is the actual first update you listed and if you were able to do the others you might get this one from here. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40749 Let us know how you make out every step of the way. donetao Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 (edited) Hi new member. You can also learn a lot from the Reliability Monitor. It will tell you which up dates failed and might give you a error code as @allheart55 (Cindy E) has suggested.;);) http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/windows-and-office/investigate-problems-when-they-occur-with-windows-8s-reliability-monitor/ Edited March 2, 2015 by donetao Quote Some times you're the wind shield. Princess Warrior Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 Sorry guys it has taken me long to get back to you i had microsoft in my computer for 5 hours yesterday and they couldnt fix the problem at all which doesn't surprise me at all but they wiped out all the updates so now i cant get the error message for you. I dont know how to do the realiabilty report i never done that before. Rich-M i did what you told me to do and i still get the same error message which means windows couldn't finish doing updates we are undoing changes Quote
Princess Warrior Posted March 12, 2015 Author Posted March 12, 2015 Hi guys just wanted to let you know that I fixed the problem with windows update the problem was that the system reserved partition was too small so I had to increase it used a programme called minitool to increase the partition and got windows updated and fixed.
