Posted February 27, 20159 yr FPCH Admin There was no other way for this to end — Wites & Kapetan, a law firm in Lighthouse Point, Florida, is officially investigating the Lenovo Superfish adware scandal that has dominated headlines throughout the technology world this week. February 27, 20159 yr FPCH Admin Not good for Lenova. I didn't care too much for their stuff anyway, but, feel for people that are stuck in this mess. Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
February 27, 20159 yr Lenovo today is the number one computer producer in the world. For goodness sake they put in some bad software, something Dell and HP have been doing for years. They have kept up the high standards that IBM always had and to my mind make some of the best hardware ever. Any frequent flyer can tell you that when a plane hits an air pocket and drops, only the Lenovo laptops stay on. I think they deserve a second chance. I don't hear HP apologizing for installing Weather Bug in all their systems for the last 15 years or Yontoo.
February 27, 20159 yr Author FPCH Admin I think this goes beyond Weather Bug or Yontoo. There were bad certificates involved here, Rich. That's SSL hijacking! ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
