Posted February 26, 20159 yr Once the forum is properly setup there will be a separate forum for software and hopefully hardware reviews. I have done this on every forum I was involved in for years and plan to do it here once everything else is out of the way. Cindy always works with me and I will be looking for other recruits when the time comes as usually I can get a few free copies to do so as long as the reviews go back to the vendor. and Bob sets up the proper vehicle. I am rusty at it so I was practicing with Macrium but the "Recommended Software" sticky that went up this week is a part of that whole picture. We should be recommending and testing various programs old and new I think Bob called it "Tutorials" which is a feature he has always had on his forums.
February 26, 20159 yr I think all suggested programs be thoroughly tested before inclusion. This doesn't always happen. February 26, 20159 yr FPCH Admin I think all suggested programs be thoroughly tested before inclusion. This doesn't always happen. I agree, that is a must. We need to be sure any programs that are recommended have been thoroughly tested for safety. ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
February 26, 20159 yr FPCH Admin I am working on this as we speak. I have an addon specifically for reviews. I have it running in a testbed now, have been for a while actually, and I'm ready to install it live. Once it's done the reviews can start. I'll talk to staff about the particulars later today.
