donetao Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Hi ! It seemed to me that forums were slow to load. I refreshed Firefox and loading forums seems faster now. Does anyone here think that's a possibility?? Always trying to learn and pass it forward!! Thank you! Quote Some times you're the wind shield. Some times you're the bug!!:(
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted February 21, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted February 21, 2015 I don't know, Gary. I only use Internet Explorer but I haven't noticed any issues with the pages being slow to load. FPCH Admin AWS Posted February 21, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted February 21, 2015 It's possible. I have refreshed it, created a new profile and many other things. It speeds things up for a while and then it slows down again. I am going to IE11 more and more. It just works all the time. 1 Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
donetao Posted February 21, 2015 Author Posted February 21, 2015 I'll give IE11 a try!! Quote Some times you're the wind shield. Some times you're the bug!!:(
donetao Posted February 21, 2015 Author Posted February 21, 2015 Anyone see a problem here?? Quote Some times you're the wind shield. Some times you're the bug!!:(
FPCH Admin AWS Posted February 21, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted February 21, 2015 I run a whole lot more addons so with the amount you have you should have no problems. I don't see any problems. Do a test. Open task manager, start firefox and watch the firefox.exe process. If the memory consumption increases while are using it to browse then you have a problem. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
donetao Posted February 21, 2015 Author Posted February 21, 2015 It sure is a memory hog Quote Some times you're the wind shield. Some times you're the bug!!:(

FPCH Admin AWS Posted February 21, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted February 21, 2015 Watch it as you use it. That is a little high for just starting it. It should be below 100K. 1 Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest

FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted February 21, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted February 21, 2015 I think so too. I've tried Firefox many times over the years but I always go back to IE. 1 Quote ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~ ~~Robert McCloskey~~
donetao Posted February 21, 2015 Author Posted February 21, 2015 I think so too. I've tried Firefox many times over the years but I always go back to IE. Thanks Cindy! I just down loaded Ad Muncher. Where do I find it on my PC. Don't see it in Ad-Ons PS The font is much brighter with IE. Nothing is grayed out. That's always good!;) Quote Some times you're the wind shield. FPCH Admin AWS Posted February 21, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted February 21, 2015 It's in your downloads folder. IE send everything there. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted February 21, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted February 21, 2015 You can also see it after it's installed by clicking on Start and All programs. Also you should see the icon in the bottom right hand side of your desktop. See screenshots.... Rich-M Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Firefox has always started slower than the others the first time....that is nothing new however once open it will blow the others away. I really think any of you that have had issues with FF should try Pale Moon. Pete put me on to it over a year ago and I think it has way more stability than FF. The only issue I ever had was reading pdfs and that was "pilot error" so now I am back to it. One thing I love about Chrome I wish I could figure out how to do with FF is Chrome loads downloads to the bottom of the browser as well as whatever folder you like and that saves a step with many tasks. FPCH Admin AWS Posted February 21, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted February 21, 2015 Firefox has a button you can add in the navigation, I have mine next to the home button, that gives you quick access to downloads. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted February 21, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted February 21, 2015 Internet Explorer 11 also adds downloads to the bottom of the browser for quick access. 1 Quote ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~ ~~Robert McCloskey~~
