Hi I will start out by saying "Don't fix it if it ain't broke"Having said that up dating a driver can often fix a BSOD or other problems you may be experiencing with your PC. The best place to get your drivers is from the manufacturer of your machine. The problem with that can be the manufacture stops up dating drivers after 2 or 3 years. I have found what I believe to be a great freeware program that might help you with drivers. Major Geeks gives it a good review. I have used it and I find it to be a good program. Very easy to use. I like to use it for a reference. Again I say "Don't fix it if it ain't broke" I like to keep my grafics drivers up dated. They can be a source for BSOD. Check out this software and see what you think. It's called SlimDrivers! It's getting a lot of good reviews. I actually fixed a seniors sound with this program.

Hi you can see that SlimDrivers recommends two drivers. I'm not having any problems with my sound or grafics, but if I were, I would down load the driver. I usually go to AMD for grafics up dates. I would recommend down loading this software from Major Geeks for a safe down load! No PUP's

One question as I can't make out the icons clearly.

Does Slim Driver backup your old drivers before installing new drivers?

Thanks.

Yes sir. It will create a back up and it's my understanding you can roll back any up dated driver. Also you must up date only one driver at a time, which I find to be a good thing. A back up is made after each driver is up dated. I would never recommend a software that I didn't believe in here on our forum.;);)

Thanks for your reply!!

I have never tried to restore after up dating, but I'm betting on SlimDrivers to restore the other driver!Capture48.JPG.b81e36f7c42dcd7ca6f1318ea3ea223e.JPG

I've never used third party programs for drivers but that's just me.

I don't update drivers unless there is a specific problem that requires an updated driver.

If there is an issue, then I go directly to the manufacturers website, if available to get one.

Me neither. We used to update the minute they came out with new ones but that was many hosed Windows systems ago and now I update a driver when I have an issue and a solution I know fixes that issue only.

According to "Bleeping Computer", my bible on these issues, if you need a driver, go to the mfgr's website and get it yourself and do not use driver updaters...but here read it for yourself:
