With Windows 10 just around the corner, we’re mighty happy to report that our award-winning Easy Recovery Essentials for Windows is now available for absolutely free for all Windows 10 users for the remainder of the Windows 10 Technical Preview program. (Which isn’t all that long, so hurry up and grab it while it’s still free!)

Easy Recovery Essentials® for Windows, for those that haven’t tried it before, is a one-click disaster recovery CD for Windows that features 100% automated diagnostics and repair for Windows PCs. It’ll automatically go through an extensive battery of tests and solve all problems as it finds them (very quickly, too!) – all you have to do is boot from an EasyRE CD or USB stick, and select the OS you want to repair.

Easy Recovery Essentials for Windows 10 joins the rest of the EasyRE product family providing the following features:

  • EasyRE repairs all bootmgr, bcd, and winload.exe errors.
  • EasyRE is the only repair CD to repair EFI bootloader errors and problems with bootmfw.efi, winload.efi, and more.
  • Easy Recovery Essentials automatically finds and corrects issues with the MBR, GPT, and partition records, resolving issues with the active partition, incorrectly configured partition entries, recursive partition records, overlapping partitions, and corrupted boot headers.
  • EasyRE detects and resolves dozens of boot-time blue screens of death, and prevents many other BSODs while Windows is loading and when it is running.

  • Offline virus scanning
  • Deleted partition recovery tools
  • Modern web browser
  • Graphical partition editor

Oh everything can't be free, except infections that is that come from most freebies!

That is not true either. There are a lot of good freeware programs on the internet that don't come with infections.IMHO you need to post data with these kinds of replies you're making!!;);)

I do not agree that because it is free that it is not good or infected at all. There is one hell of a lot of good freeware out there. :p:D

I agree many freebies don't come with infections. Some do.

Scan all downloads before installing any program free or paid.

Choose custom install at every opportunity and weed out unwanted extras prior to install.

Don't download from sites that are known to infect your computer.

Have good AV that catch what you miss.

It's the IBK's that keep computer shops and Techies so busy.

Some never learn.:)

Those who know me know I frequently forget to add the smilies....You all took me seriously and I was kidding!

As a rule I do avoid freebies whereas I know most of you will move heaven and earth to find them, but there is a handful of them I do use.

I have very few freebies, but they are all good programs. If I recommend them, they won't be infected and I will always recommend a site like Major Geeks if I can't find the authors site.:):):):):):)

File Hippo is also safe as a third part download site. Someone mentioned Cnet being the worst and it is now really bad as are Brothersoft, Softpedia, and Softonic. Starbuck is so right as we could eliminate so much Malware if we could end these damn sites.

We are well aware your opinion of MBAM, Gary.:)

Only trying to say that MBAM is taking PUP's very serious and is trying to get the rest of the security people on board. I commend them for their effort.

It's about time someone got interested in PUP's. PUP's aggravate the Hell out of me.:):):):)

I have moved on to a different subject and won't be talking about MBAM any more.

I think I have said enough!
