Hi! Not sure where to post this. Please move if needed! Here's a great freeware tool that every PC user should have IMHO. I sure most of you geeks have heard of it, but are you aware of all it can do. It can tell you the condition of your HD as well as give you temps of your hardware. Give it a look. It's free. I just tested my HD.

I haven't used Speed Fan in a while. I'll give it a shot. Thanks!

I just downloaded it. I'll have to play around with it for a bit.

Good! Let me know what you think. I wouldn't mess with changing fan speeds unless you really know what you're

doing. I don't recommend doing that>;)

Yeah I was going to say I would not use it to change fan speeds. I moved on to use Hardware Monitor anyway which offers more.

Do you have the down load link?? What does it offer more than SpeedFan??

Thanks @Rich-M

Speedfan can be a bit hard for a newby to understand where as HWMonitor is much simpler.

I am using HWMonitor at the moment.

Remember these monitoring programs are only as good as the signals your Motherboard gives out.

I always run more than one monitoring program so I can cross reference, and then compare the readings with my BIOS.

Thanks @DSTM My Toshiba monitors my temps and fans!;) Never hurts to have a second opinion. My PC never runs hot. You can feel a lap top and know if it's hot! Capture48.thumb.JPG.b69d7de24cb6f45268461e6e92d00f1b.JPG

Does it actually tell you the temps? . That's the important part,

I just know I have a quad core. The attachment just says CPU temps. I'm assuming Toshiba knows what it's doing. SpeedFan shows all 4.

My lap top never feels hot and I can just barely hear the fan. I do feel warm air from the vents, so I know my fan is working.

This old Toshiba is going on 4 years with just minor problems. You can't ask for more than that.:D:D

I rarely shut it down!

Could you post an image with SPECCY, Please.

I am interested what all your temps are.

Thanks.

I do not have SPECCY on my PC at this time. I'm using Belarc Advisory. Will see what it's showing and get back with you !! Sorry friend I do not see the info you asked for. I could down load SPECCY if you want!!
