Windows: Program updates keep Windows computers safe and secure. If you aren't sure which programs need updating, Patch My PC checks your computer for you and runs just the updates you need.

We've covered the paid Ninite Updater before for updates and its companion the free Ninite bulk installer. Patch My PC is a free program that combines both functions. The program has around 100 different applications it supports, and can install or update them automatically.

I just saw a "genius" tech on an old forum we used to belong to state that Windows Updates, even the "Critical Updates" have absolutely nothing to do with security of the OS or browsers. Kinda gets ya all misty for the good ole days don't it?

I saw that and couldn't actually believe my eyes.

I had to pick my jaw back up off the floor.

I read that post as well and was gobsmacked.:yikes:

That genius comes out with some whacked out opinions.Hope members and guests don't believe everything he sprouts.

He is a legend in his own mind and implies all other Techies are playing catchup to his expertise.
