Did a scan with AdwCleaner & found the following....

[x] Not Deleted : [x64] HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes\{0633EE93-D776-472F-A0FF-E1416B8B2E3A}

 

Should any of the above be deleted?

N3 those are unauthorized additions to Search Engines (the last 2), and the first one is a malicious registry code. I always take everything out that Adw Cleaner finds N3 and then delete the quarantine as well off the "c" drive too.

{2318C2B1-4965-11d4-9B18-009027A5CD4F} is generally related to Google Toolbar

 

{2318C2B1-4965-11d4-9B18-009027A5CD4F} can also be related to a malicious BHO called Google Toolbar Helper

 

in which case it would be located in the registry as: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Explorer\ Browser Helper Objects\ {2318C2B1-4965-11d4-9B18-009027A5CD4F}

(Default) = Google Toolbar Helper

 

If you have the Google Toolbar installed, then I would not be too concerned about AdwCleaner removing that key.

If you use Bing as your search, these can be left.

I will be removing all three of the above. I do not use "Bing" as my search engine. Thank's to all for your assistance.

When scanning with "AdwCleaner" again i'm still getting the following after i press clean?

From IE click on Tools >> Manage Addons

Select Search Providers.

Is Bing still in the list?

 

 

If so...

Right click on Bing and select Remove.

 

 

Also check the Add/Remove .... uninstall Bing if it's there.

 

Now see if you still get the problem with AdwCleaner.

Starbuck..........As per your instructions i removed "Bing" from internet explorer , (IE click on Tools >> Manage Addons

Select Search Providers). Then checked with AdwCleaner & all is well. Thank you very much for your assistance "again"!
