Posted November 30, 201410 yr A new report says that Microsoft is planning to launch a version of its Power BI business intelligence tool for the iPhone and iPad, in what could be just the latest example of the company launching products and services beyond its Windows platform. Venture Beat reports that Microsoft send out an email this week to a limited number of people stating, "Power BI for iOS is coming soon – request early access now." The tool is basically an extension of Excel that offers users a way to show statistics in 3D visuals such as maps, charts and more. So far, the only mobile Power BI app has been launched for Windows 8. It's likely that the iOS app will be made available for Office 365 for Business subscribers when it is released.
