February 2, 20159 yr Any key where you have to take your hands from the keyboard; might just as well be hanging from the wall. I use JJ KK LL followed by Enter as commands. As a typist having to move my hands from the home position is such a huge waste of speed.

Way back I wrote a KeyPunch Verify app. Rather than use the attached numeric keypad the users insisted we use the home position when entering numeric fields. ie change J to a 4, K to a 5 etc. I allow for that in my app when selecting previous search strings or file names. We shouldn't forget those of us that can type.
February 16, 20159 yr So, you are a touch typist, so am I. :D Touch typist or "Hunt and Peck" typist. Fast or Extremely slow. All apps should have a second option like JJ KK LL for us that are Fast. Please don't slow us down.
