mikehende Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Hey guys, we had DSL for many years, I have a detached garage about 30' from the back of our house, I always used to get good enough wireless signal strength from my pc in the garage. Last year we upgraded to Verizon FIOS and the wireless was working ok since then but for a few months now I am only sometimes able to get to the net with the same pc. First thing I am thinking I need to do is to see if anyone is logging on to our network which may be causing the low signal strength? If yes, how can I do so please or what should I do to get back the to the net please? Quote
FPCH Admin AWS Posted November 3, 2014 FPCH Admin Posted November 3, 2014 Check and make sure your wireless router antennas are connect securely. If they are then maybe just age has taken it's toll. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
mikehende Posted November 4, 2014 Author Posted November 4, 2014 This verizon fios router is under one year old so I am not sure that would be the issue? Quote
FPCH Admin AWS Posted November 4, 2014 FPCH Admin Posted November 4, 2014 Something weakened your signal. You could log in to the router and change the band it uses. There might be other router using the same band and frequency which causes congestion and weak signal. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
