Last week, Hollywood trade publications said that actor Christian Bale was in talks to play Apple's late founder Steve Jobs in an upcoming biopic. Now the movie's screenwriter Aaron Sorkin has confirmed that not only has Bale won the role of Jobs but predicts that he "is gonna crush it."

In an interview with Bloomberg Television, Sorkin said that while there was a meeting with Bale to discuss the role, he didn't have to actually audition for the part of Jobs, saying, "We needed the best actor on the board in a certain age range and that's Chris Bale."

Production on the biopic will being in the next couple of months, according to Sorkin. The movie will be based on Walter Isaacson's best selling 2011 biography "Steve Jobs" and will be directed by Danny Boyle, the Academy Award-winning director of "Slumdog Millionaire."

Sorkin says that even though Bale is right for the part of Jobs, that doesn't mean it will be a cake walk for him to perform, saying, "He has more words to say in this movie than most people have in three movies combined. There isn't a scene or a frame that he's not in. So it's an extremely difficult part and he is gonna crush it."

Do you think Bale is the right actor for playing Steve Jobs?
