Wow that is interesting....as Cindy knows I was a huge proponent of this program a few years back but frankly lately have found it over protective and an enormous time waster and though I own 2 licenses I have removed it from all systems several years ago. I found that every other site I went to on Google search was blocked and grew tired of "allowing" every other site. There were fixes that worked temporarily but then problems eventually ensured.

Folks I find AdBlock Plus to be a marvelous free program and the only real drawback is you have to install it in each browser but it works so well I would not dream changing.

I own eight Ad-Muncher lifetime licenses that I haven't used in almost a year. I have been using Ad-Block Plus ever since you recommended it and I think it's much better than the current Ad-Muncher.

I wonder what the real reason for making it free was. Maybe no one was buying it at $175 lifetime price?

Remember when we did Paltalk it was towards the end when I started using Adblock and that actually also blocked the Paltalk Ads, the only reason left I clung to Ad Muncher. I think it is like all other software is there is a time and place where some at the top sooner or later drop to the bottom and currently I am predicting the next entry is Malwarebytes.

I am so tired of the phone calls lately from clients with issues on new Update version and being told that even though their update failed, they still show as "totally protected" that I believe in a very short time the entire pyramid comes tumbling down. My only hope is that is before the problem subsides or a better yet a real solution comes along.

Well, they are asking for a monthly $5 or $10 donation. Strictly voluntary, of course.

I bought the rest of mine when they were 65% off.....

I was happy with Emsisoft but I just don't know if my users would have stayed as clean as I did because I obviously don't get into the troubles where they do and make the quick snap judgments that clog up their systems/ Or worse yet inactions.

I think your making out Ad-muncher was worse than it really was, Rich. Those years ago it was the only program we had that really worked and I was thankful for it. Now it is past it's used by date as far as add blockers go.Some years since I have even used it.

I don't even want it for free now.

Not really Dougie "Mr Grumpy" and I were its biggest backers and I raved about it but I am not exaggerating now how much trouble I was having with it. The owner pm'd me one time with a solution as Jeff saw my posts on KH as he was a member and that didn't help either.

I had quite a few problems with it too, especially toward the end. (Nothing like what Rich did, though.)

No one can deny that when we all used it, there was no better alternative.
