Rich-M Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I am really getting frustrated. After isuue after issue with pdfs on Pale Moon I decided to go back to Chrome and while everything works well I am noticing something I never saw before that is becoming increasingly irritating. I notice on forums if I sit for more than 30 seconds on a post I cannot go back on my Dell All-in-One with Windows 8.1. At first I thought it was just a single issue but now I see it happens all the time where the only way I can leave a post if I don't respond quickly is to close and re-open the thread which makes it difficult to use "New Threads". Same thing is happening on my Windows 7 desktop and now I see it is not only forums as the same thing just happened to me on the Newegg site where I must have tried 10 times to go back. It doesn't matter if I go through the browser or use mouse gestures as nothing works. Save your breath as I can imagine I will hear the "IE Crowd" response here but IE is too primitive with saving passwords or utilizing any of the neat browser addons FF and Chrome have. I really hate Opera as well and I can see when you use an obscure browser you miss even more features. I just noticed another issue where I downloaded iso from Microsoft for Windows 10 on Chrome and could not burn the iso. I re downloaded using IE and am now successfully burning it. Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted October 12, 2014 FPCH Admin Posted October 12, 2014 Well, I'm going to waste my breath here and just simply say, I never have any of those problems with Internet Explorer. :dancer: I just don't. As far as saving passwords? Never an issue for me. They just aren't. o_O Just sayin':jumpimg: 1 Quote ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~ ~~Robert McCloskey~~
Rich-M Posted October 13, 2014 Author Posted October 13, 2014 I hear ya....Last Pass will work on IE but it means I have to allow it in startup which I hate to do but maybe I will be forced to go back to it as these others are driving me crazy. Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted October 13, 2014 FPCH Admin Posted October 13, 2014 Internet Explorer 11 has become much better with saving passwords. DSTM Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I like FireFox and IE 11. There is no such thing as the perfect browser, however these two I mentioned are as close as one can get, in my opinion. Rich-M Posted October 13, 2014 Author Posted October 13, 2014 IE is still primitive in password saving but I use Last Pass, the only problem as I said is in IE it has to be in startup whereas in FF and Chrome no. IE is also so "stiff" looking but no question there are sites that cannot use anything else and I suppose there always will be. Quote
IceMan37 Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 I find IE looks a bit better on many sites than Chrome or Firefox, including the bolder text and colors look a bit sharper. I do like Firefox though just about as well as I like IE. Also now that Opera is based on Chrome it's also a real contender. Quote

I never save passwords it's a very bad habit to have. 100% more secure to remember passwords in your mind and never allow a browser to store them. Quote
Rich-M Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 OH BS and good hacker can get through them anyway but the users can never remember them. I can't wait for the day everything is run by facial recognition software. Oh and I didn't know about Opera based on Chrome, time to look at that one again. I just hate IE though I have been using it lately because I am so sick of the issues with Chrome and FF. Quote
