Tim Cook's speech marks the first time the executive participated in the event, and he will be joined by executives from other companies actively looking to create a more sustainable environment. In this year's environmental report, Apple reaffirmed its commitment to go green, stating that the manufacturer is implementing new technologies so that each new generation of products consume less energy. Apple's data centers are already powered by renewable energy, and the manufacturer has mentioned that its upcoming campus will be also be powered by green energy.
