N3 Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Within the past three days every time i click the back arrow i get a "Document Expired" messaged. Other than resetting firefox to it's default is there a fix? Quote
Rich-M Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Are you talking about in the forum N3 or everywhere? Quote
N3 Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Rich........Everywhere! But only in firefox Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted September 6, 2014 FPCH Admin Posted September 6, 2014 I'm sorry, N3, I don't use firefox but I found this. http://superuser.com/questions/583996/prevent-document-expired-message-and-just-show-the-expired-page It doesn't look too promising..... Rich-M Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Something in your settings got whacked. Why not uninstall and remove all settings and data as well and then reinstall N3. Quote
Rich-M Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Or better yet if you are an FF guy why not try Pale Moon. I really like this and it is FF without all the problems. http://www.palemoon.org/download-ng.shtml Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted September 6, 2014 FPCH Admin Posted September 6, 2014 According to everything I read about this, it's apparently a common problem with Firefox. Rich-M Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Firefox got too buggy for me so I took Pete's suggestion and moved to Pale Moon and never came back. Chrome has better features but the interface just has too many issues for me. Quote
N3 Posted September 7, 2014 Author Posted September 7, 2014 What's interesting is, the problem started about 4 days ago. In reference to Pale Moon, does it have similar add-ons like firefox? I'm not against leaving firefox it's just learning & getting accustomed to something new. Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted September 7, 2014 FPCH Admin Posted September 7, 2014 From what I've heard from Pete and Rich, it does have very similar, if not better add-ons that Firefox has.... FPCH Admin AWS Posted September 7, 2014 FPCH Admin Posted September 7, 2014 I had this problem and never did find a fix. I created a new user profile, migrated the settings and deleted the old profile and it fixed it. All the research I did about the problem never did give me an answer to that happened. starbuck Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Pale Moon is an Open Source, Firefox-based web browser available for Microsoft Windows and Linux, focusing on efficiency and ease of use. While maintaining compatibility with thousands of Firefox extensions many have come to love and rely on. I haven't found a Firefox addon yet that didn't work with Pale Moon. http://www.palemoon.org/ Quote
N3 Posted September 7, 2014 Author Posted September 7, 2014 Well......It appears the problem (presently) went away on it's own! I didn't do anything to remove/repair it.....Is it possible firefox made some changes? It's baffling. I'm still considering "Pale Moon". Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted September 7, 2014 FPCH Admin Posted September 7, 2014 I don't know, N3. When I researched it, it became apparent that the problem has been an issue since 2012 and there hadn't yet been a fix for it. Rich-M Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 That's why I went to Pale Moon was issues that came and went with versions changing all the time N3. Pale Moon can take all the addons FF can and the only real issue I see is a slight pdf issue once in a while. Quote
