One of the most useful features is how well you can restrict access to your personal data on iPhone and iPad. For example, if you don't want a child to be able to accidentally delete your contacts or alter calendar invites without your knowledge, you can easily use restrictions to stop it from happening before it ever does. How to restrict access to personal information with iOS parental controls Launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. Tap on General. Tap on Restrictions. Tap on Enable Restrictions if you don't have them enabled already. If you do, skip to step 6. Choose a 4-digit passcode that only you will know. Never give this to your child or anyone you don't want bypassing restrictions. Under the Privacy section, tap on the type of data you'd like to restrict and change settings to your liking. That's all there is to it. Simply go through the Privacy section and tweak permissions to your liking. You should also see if any apps are currently accessing your data. If you don't want to allow that behavior, simply turn the app's access to Off. Once you're done changing permissions, simply close out of the Restrictions section. It's now safe to hand over your iPhone or iPad to someone else.
