Here we go again, PNY Optima Series 240GB Solid State Drive - 2.5" Form Factor SSD, SATA III, 60,000 iOPS Read - SSD7SC240GOPT-RB then Rebate makes it $89.99

lol that's normal when I am on my regular job I surf newegg, amazon, directron, mwave looking for a motherboard or CPU deal I'm glad Rich found this I'm actually going to buy one.

I did and I have no clue what I will do with it either. I have been thinking of upgrading my laptop (which I seldom use) but its a Sony Touchscreen 14" that is so fast now I can barely see the screens change with a 7200 Rpm hard drive and 16 gb ram on a Gen 4 Intel cpu, it actually scares me to think it will be faster.

I am building a new server and little by little I am buying the parts. These 2 drives and the 3 I bought the other day will go into it. These 2 in raid 1 as boot drive and the other 3 in raid 10 for database.

Now Rich, work your magic and find a deal on some Xeon processors.

I just turned around and bought another of these as I get occasional BSODs in my main desktop and I have a 2 year old Crucial SSD in it I don't trust and its a 120 gb anyway which has been sufficient because my files are on a server but for $89 as a test, why not!!!! You know even $109 is a great price actually.

Can't pass up deals like this.

I have been looking for your Xeon cpu and do not see a lot and I am thinking about replacing my HP server with a custom build and I don't see more than $25-40 off probably because its not a huge demand item Bob. What cpu are you looking for?
  • FPCH Admin
They aren't in high demand, but, every once in a while you'll see a deal on them. I'd love to get an E-5, but, they're still a bit pricey. I'm looking for a couple E-3 V2. They are starting to come down in price.

Nice board Bob. I see $15 off a few E3 but nothing to back up the truck to.

I can top that this morning I couldn't open the door because there was a box big enough to live in from D&H (5- $22 Antec micro cases, 3 motherboards, 2 processors and 2 video cards....and remember I said they never ship in the mfgr's boxes), and when I finally wrestled that in the door behind it was a box with 2 Ssd drives followed by one with 4 power supplies not to mention another little box with 6 double sticks of ram. I was worn out before breakfast and I thought my GSD was going to flood the room before I could clear the door to get her out!

I wish I could have turned everyone on to the $22 Antec cases but that was a D&H Special and you gotta have an account there to get that.

Last month they also had a deal for $42 Toshiba 500 Gb 5 year warranty drives and I filled a cabinet with those suckers. I am struggling to find room for all this stuff. Cindy has seen my space though I have rebuilt since she was here and its a lot better but this is still overwhelming.

Well, you still have the walk in closet, Rich.

My bad. You can barely get into my computer closet either. Although it's all organized, getting to it is another story. o_O
