The Beast Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Does anyone know for sure which if any version of Acronis True Image works with Windows 7 64-bit, not just to CREATE images but to reliably RESTORE them? I see making the backup isn't the issue but restoring often is. Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted July 14, 2014 FPCH Admin Posted July 14, 2014 I have had no issue restoring backups using TI 2012 with Windows 7 64 bit. I would stay away from TI 2013, I have had issues with restoring. Rich-M Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I had all kinds of issues with versions of Acronis 2013 that were supposed to work with Windows 8 and would never recommend it. 2012 was fine with Windows 7. Quote
Dizzy86 Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 hello I used acronis that came with my PC it worked good I think it was the 2012 version full. I did not try 2013 version but the 2012 seem to work great with windows 7 64 bit I have. Quote
ccs Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 I upgraded to the latest version 2014 yesterday (Acronis sent me an email coupon to upgrade for only $10). and it worked great on Win7-64. I took the backup file and restored it as a local VMware image, no problem. Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted July 20, 2014 FPCH Admin Posted July 20, 2014 That's good to know, ccs. I've been using TI-2012. Quote ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~ ~~Robert McCloskey~~
