Hi there!

I wish to password protect a shared folder so that everytime a user goes to access it, it asks for the credentials of a admin/privileged user. I've setup a restricted access group and added the users to it. But can't think of a way to get it to ask for a password each and every time. I can prevent access using permissions but there is no way to temporarily lift this using a password.

Any Ideas?

im guessing this would be a policy. Group policy editor? gpedit.msc - Im sure someone else can back me up on this,

policy to disable saving passwords to vault?

Yep:

Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options\Network access: Do not allow storage of credentials or .NET Passports for network authentication
