I need help setting up dns so i can connect a client to the domain but when I try and connect i get the domain controller cannot be found and the below erroe message about dns:

 

An error occurred when DNS was queried for the service location (SRV) resource record used to locate a domain controller for domain sasworld.com.

The error was: "No records found for given DNS query."

(error code 0x0000251D DNS_INFO_NO_RECORDS)

The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.sasworld.com

So... create a new entry in your dns:

 

type: SRV value: DC name where: _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.sasworld.com
