Media player is not working anymore

Greetings,

 

Using WinXP SP2, WMP 11 won't work anymore. When I double-click on an MP3

file nothing happens at all. No error msg no nothing. I rebooted. No

luck. I've uninstalled and reinstalled version 11 but no luck. I went back

to version 10 no luck either.

 

I also did a system restore to a month ago and reinstalling WMP 11 but

didn't work anyway. Of course I cleaned up all spywares, malwares and crap

first.

 

Any idea?
