Userid disassociated from docs etc

My wife's userid has suddenly become disassociated from all her resources,

e.g. My Documents, desktop, programmes, even access to AOL is playing up when

she signs in with her AOL userid & password (yet it's fine when she signs in

from my Windows user). It's as though a connection has been severed.

 

Her My Documents now appears to be a Temp folder...all her original docs are

still there, in a folder under her userid but she can't access them, but I

can.

 

There was no problem reported, no virus, nothing, nothing installed or

uninstalled...one day it was fine, next day not.

 

Anyone got any ideas about a) what has happened? b) how I can restore her

userid?
