Recently I had to change my motherboard and when I reinstalled my XP Pro

it seemed to be OK. Then when I installed the motherboard drivers for

all the integrated services (network card and sound card) I noticed

that there were duplicate user folders in the Documents and Settings

Folders.

I have read quite a few of the various articles available on the

internet about how the duplicate folders occur but may not be fully

able to grasp what I need to do the delete the extra accounts. Is there

someone available who could talk me through the particular situation

that I have please?

So far, I have managed to change to an Administrator's account and

delete duplicate accounts for All Users, Default User and my own name

account. What I cannot delete are the duplicate accounts for the

Administrator, Local Service and Network Service. Attempts at deletion

get the notice that they are system accounts and cannot be deleted.

Insofar as my understanding of computers is concerned I am not quite a

newbie but I am not completely computer-literate either.

Regards
