Guest ricc Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I've a LAN with 4 XP-Pro and a a Server 2003 SE SP2. They are in a workgroup, not a domain and the server is just a file server. All the PCs have a static IP address, C class, 192.168.1.x and a flag in the Wins menu "Use NetBios on TCP/IP". Since few days ago, all the PCs report in the event viewer: Event Type: Error Event Source: NetBT Event ID: 4307 Description: Initialization failed because the transport refused to open initial Addresses However, the LAN PCs works fine except a client that sometimes is not able to connect to the LAN e, sometimes freezes: no keybord, no mouse, no ctrl-alt-canc. Any idea to solve the problem? Thanks. -- ricc Quote
