Just installed Nero 8 Ultra. Windows XP video decoder checkup utility shows

that I have DVD and Video decoders, but they are not compatible with

synchronization features of Windows Media Player 10. I assume this also means

Media Player 11.

The DVD drive I am using is the BenQ DW800A with BC37 firmware and Microsoft

driver 5.1.2535.0.

Should Windows Media Player still play a DVD even though decoders are not

compatible with synchronization feature and why does the drive not recognize

a DVD, but will a CD? Is Microsoft driver the correct driver for the DVD

drive?
