Updating Briefcase

I have a problem which I hope someone can help me with. I recently used

briefcase to sync with my desk top pc.

Everthing went well except, one file for some reason updated from the desk

top to the laptop and I have lost the file as it has overwritten all the four

days work in the excel file with the blank form that was on the desk top and

not the otherway around.

Now both pc/laptop both have the blank excel document - is there anyway of

receovring or reversing the sync process otherwise it is going to take me

longer with the weekend coming up to complete the document again??

Any help in being able to recover the lost document on my laptop would be

appreciated.
