Can not start Themes Service - no admin rights

Hi all,

 

I have installed WS08 on my laptop, and now trying to tweak it.

 

The first issue I had was that I didn't have wifi as default. I solved that through server manager. The next thing I wanted was to have Aero. I added the feature, but after the reboot I can not start the Themes service. It's greyed out as if I am not an admin on the machine.

 

I am in our domain admins group, and I have added that, as well as my specific domain/user to the admins group. Have also added to the power users group. But no change.

 

I didn't try to log as local admin ( I am sure this will be ok, but why is it that I can't start the service?)

I'll have to answer this one on my own.

 

I actually missed the drop down option where it says: Disabled.

 

Changing that to Start automatic, pretty much solved this.
