I notice some post on partitioning the hard drive for Active Dirtory

as follows:-

 

With 2 Hard Disks, that is pretty much your only option, but things

can be

partitioned like this:

6GB C OS 1024b sectors

1GB D Swap 64kb sectors

2GB E NTDS 64kb sectors

2GB F NTDSlog 64kb sectors

2GB G Sysvol 512b sectors

6GB H Logs + Backup 64kb sectors

1GB Free Space

How are the sectors sizes determined for optimum performance? Can any

one explain the above and the advantages of such sectors sizes.
