An associate is working on a migration and discovered something very

interesting. He is mapped to a windows 2000 server share via drive letter,

selected all root folders and files and selected properties resulting count

of 166,835 files, 16,966 folders & 138,638,502,928 bytes. There is also a UNC

path to the same share however this shows 166,753 files, 16,962 folders &

139,627,745,804 bytes.

With windows explorer configured to view all regular, system & hidden files,

I hope someone can explain why there is a difference of 82 files, 4 folders

and 989,242,876 bytes.

Thanks
