As Windows has always not taken long to become slow and messy in the

background, I have to keep rebuilding my machine to keep it usable. I

eventually created a restore image using the symantec deploycenter so I could

press F10 and boot straight into a rebuild process to restore the Xp pro

build. Having done all this it tested ok, but when I tried moving the restore

image files (rebuild.pqi, 001, 002, 003, ect) I now keep getting "Access

denied, file is in use" whilst either renaming, re-associating, moving or

deleting these files. Symantec have nothing on the App to support me and

Microsoft website does not find anything related to the app or the problem

(Unless it's for media player). I am storing it on an NTFS partition.

Windows XP pro SP2

2 gigs ram, 500+ Gigs of space across 5 drives, AMD FX64 3700+ socket 939

Processor.

My question is if I created the image using DOS (Not whilst in Windows) and

the file was planted directly into the NTFS partition, does Windows

automatically assign any rights or permissions to the files if they were not

created by Windows and how the hell do I move or delete the files made in

PQDI?
