Guest Mark Warbeck Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Hi all, I have a Windows 2003 Active Directory domain. When people print a PDF from a web browser, the path to the file as seen in the print queue is quite long (C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\local settings\temporary internet files\<random_folder_name\file.pdf). These jobs stick in the queue and the status says "printing-printing error". The printer (print device in MS jargon) shows no activity, no data light). Usually someone else tries to print and jobs back up. If I cancel the offending job, all the others print. The printer is connected to the server via LPR ports and a 10BaseT network. It happens on a number of printers, most recently an HP LaserJet 8100. Since the printer doesn't seem to get the job, I think it's a server issue. Any ideas? Thanks, Mark Quote
