As usual, first a lie:

Then some lying bluster:

Trying to blame others for

And finally, an insult:

You're as predictable as the tide.

I doesn't really matter does it?

He is happy with what he does and that is all that matters to an individual

user.

If you are one of the people that looks in news groups so you can find all

the problems so you can also share them then there is a problem there.

IMHO a problem is only a problem if you have it or you are responsible for

fixing it.. otherwise its irrelevant.

Are you disputing that Vista is running on at least 18M computers as claimed

above?

Alias will verify it as he thinks hundreds of millions failed the wga tests

recently. -)

Dell and virtually all other computer vendors also still sell Windows XP

pre-installed on their machines.

Has something similar ever happened before in the computer industry?

"Preaching"? Do you think that an operating system is some kind of

religion? I'm just a happy user who likes to share.

Oh yea, you must go to the bathroom, eat, watch TV, but you are never far

away from the Vista group. Do you go food shopping or does the wife go? If

you go, you must take your laptop and have access to WiFi so you can always

send Ubuntu posts!

Frank found out that he lost his job, his wife, car and owed millions to

the IRS so he decided to kill himself. He went to a bridge and just

before he was going to make that fatal jump, a fat man with a long white

beard appeared and informed Frank that he was Santa Claus and asked

Frank what was wrong. Frank told him and "Santa" told Frank he could

grant him three wishes but there was a catch.

Frank asked what the catch was and "Santa" told him he had to give him a

blow job before getting his wishes fulfilled. Frank scratched his head

and did something unusual and used his brain to try and think and old

Frank said to himself, he said, "what do I have to lose?" so he gave

"Santa" a blow job. Frank then demanded his wishes come true, to get his

job, property and wife back and "Santa" replied:

"Ho, ho, ho, imagine a grown man like you believing in Santa Claus!"

Better yet, imagine a grown man, claiming to have a college education,

posting the above childishly ignorant diatribe and actually believing

every word of it?

Imagine that!

Well I suppose that when NT came out you could still order machines with 98

on them for about four years.

I also remember being able to buy NT for two or three years after 2000 came

out.

Then you could buy 2000 for a couple of years after XP came out.

I expect there will be corporate users buying XP next year and probably the

year after.

I know of one major (in European terms) network equipment manufacturer that

only switched to XP a year and a half ago.

True. It's not the first time it's happened at all.

If an always raving, constantly lying foul mouth sh*t for brains

lunatic like you is an example of a Christian, you've done more to

convert people to becoming atheists then you realize.

Actually, neither of those two represent the reality. Their propensity for

child-like behaviour seems to rule them, as seems to be the case with

several posters in this NG. The 'I know you are but what am I?" mentality

seems to prevail here. The term 'grow up' comes to mind. Should I decide to

spend time in this group, I suppose I'll have to employ my killfile on a

regular basis...

I dispute that there were 18 million machines sold to users or businesses

with Vista on them and/or copies sold to users from shelves. Furthermore,

some percentage of those sold have been switched: back to XP, to linux,

to 2000, become dual boot for a nearly unused Vista and an XP or an XP

and a linux, or whatever other changes have been made.

One can't even count all of the machines sold and expect that to be

reliable, even if none of them were changed over to something else. This

is because people have been able to order XP since Vista has turned out

to be such a lead balloon to many people who have tried using it.

Businesses have demanded XP in many cases, so sellers like Dell have been

giving them what they want.

The only semi-reliable number out there is from MS. That is only reliable

if one considers what it really means. It means they sent out copies or

licenses for a particular number. However, most of that particular number

is sitting somewhere unused at the moment. At the rate things are going,

most of that number will still be sitting somewhere unused several years

from now unless they do some dramatic fixing real soon.

Well, it seems to me that there is really hefty *serious* aversion

towards Windows Vista this time.

These are pretty strong assertions in the following article, I don't

recall having seen anything similar with previous Microsoft operating

systems: http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,134962-pg,1/article.html
