Posted January 25, 201212 yr We have 6 server clusters running Windows 2008. We can ping them via name and get a response. However, when we try to access them in Windows Explorer by name they can't be found. We can only access them in Explorer by their IP address. For example, we can browse to \\123.45.6.789\c$ but not \\servername\c$. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

February 4, 201212 yr The combination of server1, server2, server3 with IPs are correct? -------------------------------------------------------- Tu peux aussi crire en franais. February 4, 201212 yr Author Well, we can access them all by their IP so I assume so. I'm just not sure why we can't access them by name.
February 11, 201212 yr That's the point. With NSLOOKUP you can understand HOW one name is resolved into IP. Do the steps above and check that each name is resolved correctly. -------------------------------------------------------- Tu peux aussi crire en franais. Du kannst auch auf Deutsch schreiben.
