Hello,

I had a perfectly working PC with XP home edition (still SP1) with an ADSL

internet connection which was automatically called via the Dialer when IE was

run. Doson't dial as such but made the connection nevertheless.

After the forced install of MSN upgrade, IE no longuer dials up anything.

This is even though the option is still set up to dial up connection. It jsut

can't get a connection. I can get the internet connection up and running

via the network set up (old windows 95 & 98 remedy see Q255070 from MS).

I can get the connection activated when outlook is run and the auto connect

ption is selected but this is messy as it first can't find the connection and

then only connects to the internet after a refresh is done. I.e. extra steps

and not clean.

Also from Q25570 this appeared to be a known problem but I can not trace any

updates which addressed this problem.

Any suggestion on how to get the old way of doing things back up and running?

Regards,

Speedy
