Guest support@isotech-inc.com Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 This is a strange problem here - requirements are all messed up. I need to install Microsoft System Center Essentials and it requires a couple of things. I am running Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard x64 Edition. When I go to install System Center Essentials I get a "Failed" message because "ASP.NET 2.0 is required" and when I click on "More" I get "ASP.NET 2.0 is not enabled. Please refer to the documentation on how to enable ASP.NET." Ok, fine. So I figure out that I need to enable ASP.NET to work on 64 this 64-bit system. So I go to the Web Server Extensions in my IIS and Allow: "C:\WINDOWS \Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\aspnet_filter.dll" then run the command: "cscript %SystemDrive%\inetpub\AdminScripts\adsutil.vbs set w3svc/AppPools/Enable32bitAppOnWin64 0" - well great until I try to install SQL Server. So I run SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition - but then I get a warning "64-bit ASP.Net is Registered. Required 32-bit ASP.Net to install Microsoft Reporting Services 2005(32-bit)." WHAT? Should I just run the 32-bit version on the SQL Install and then switch the ASP.NET back to 64-bit on the System Center Install? Quote
