Defrag Question

I am trying to defragment a 160 GByte hard drive on my Windows 2003 Server.

It has about 22% free space, about 50 1+GByte files, and about 1,000

40+MByte files.

When I start to defragment, it very quickly gets to 3%. After 8+ hours, I'm

still at 3%.

Is this normal? How long is this going to take? Note: I'm doing this

while the server is running. I really can't take the server down for more

than a couple of hours to run defrag.
