Remote Desktop Looses Input Focus

I am using Remote Desktop from work to connect to Outlook on my home

computer. The connection is good with one exception. I keep loosing input

focus on the e-mail I have selected. When I click on an e-mail, it turns

blue, indicating that the item is selected and the application is active.

With no warning, the selected item turns grey, indicating that the item is

still selected, but that the application is no longer inactive. For the first

10-15 minutes of the RDT session, the selected item alternates between blue

and grey. The same thing happens when typing new messages. While typing, the

curser will disappear and the remote applilcation will loose whatever I type

until the curser reappears. It sometimes doesn't reappear until I click on

the message window again. Can anyone tell me what is going on and how to fix

it? Thanks!
