What's the best way to manage the user profile?

From time to time, we have some users loses profiles, and have to re-create

or restore from the backup tape, especially it happens when multiple users

log in one computer, or one user log in multiple computers. So just wondering

what the best way to manage the user profiles?

Our environment:

Server: Windows 2000 server SP4

Workstation: Windows 2000 SP4 with UPHClean installed.
