sound recorder, not enough memory

I get this message when trying to use sound recorder "You receive a "Not

enough memory available to complete this operation" error message when you

try to record a .wav file by using Sound Recorder"

Reason the above is so big, I copied and pasted from MS.

They say this happens if you have over 2 gigs of ram, but don't say if

there is a fix?
