Posted August 12, 200717 yr Hard disk & monitor spring back after varying intevals of time, using first start->turn off->standby, then later power management enablilng power switch to effect standby. Have tried closing systray apps and turning off cable modem. No success. The help files don't point to a trouble shooter for standby. So far, haven't found solution in MS online. If that's due to faulty searching, please supply a pointer, where to find...Suggestions greatly appreciated. -- RobF Address anti-spammed
