Performance of System Calls

Is there a calculation that I can do to determine a threshold for "normal",

"warning", and "critical" states for the number of system calls per second?

It discusses using WMI scripts to monitor performance. One part of the

article discusses "System Calls per Second". How do I know when the value

that comes back is "good" or "bad"???
