XP Service Pack 2 - system restarts during upgradation.

After reinstalling Windows XP after a Hard disk failure, while loading

Service Pack 2 from the CD provided by Microsoft the system restarts.

Approximately after starting the SP2 installation, unpacks into a directory

and starts checking disk space. After few minutes system restarts and forgets

everything. I tried to download fresh SP2 software and tried but same problem.

 

Can any one suggest solution !
