Posted November 19, 201113 yr I'm thinking of a Virtual Server for developing/hosting websites. The only significant application on it will be SQL Server Express. I see some very good offers around for entry level at 1Gb RAM will W2008 R2 perform reasonably well with that amount of RAM or would I be wasting my time?
November 19, 201113 yr Absolutely not. Windows server needs at least 2 GB to prevent paging. Even more if you use SQL consider to switch to AT LEAST 4 GB with a 64bit OS. -------------------------------------------------------- Tu peux aussi crire en franais.
