Guest Umma Gumma Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 When Microsoft did an auto-update low these many months ago it disabled my ability to write directly to a CDRW with what I assume is a packet writing routine embedded in the operating system. Now, mysteriously, that ability has returned, presumably as a consequence of one of their subsequent auto-updates -- I know not why. I'm not complaing at all. I love it that it's returned. Hoewever, now I have an "icon" problem, is all I can say. Now no matter what view I apply, everything has an IE icon appended to it. I'll see the thumbnails of pictures for instance, but in the right hand corner there's an IE icon overlapping it. Why would this be the case....and will "fixing it" (if it needs to be fixed) disable my packet writing capability? Quote
