ntvdm Hard Error

All of a sudden on a server that has been running for 7 months it us getting

an application popup when 16bit applications are run.

 

Error: "NTVDM has encountered a hard error"

 

System Log:

Description: Application popup: ntvdm.exe - System Error : NTVDM encountered

a hard error.

 

I have read the KB937932 Article and while it is the same error it does not

apply to printing. We are getting the error even when sysedit, command.com

and other 16bit apps are run. When the popup occurs we are given the option

of close and ignore, and when ignore is chosen the program continues normally.

 

Last night I install SP2 for Windows 2003 and it did not fix the problem

either.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
